How we collect, use and store information — and how to make us stop.

Who we are

What we collect

For businesses we audit: business name, address, phone number, website, publicly listed contact email address, Google Business Profile statistics (rating, review counts, opening hours), and the results of our own queries to AI assistants about that business.

For customers: the email address and billing details you provide at checkout. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our systems.

Where we get it

Business information comes from the Google Places API and from the business's own publicly published website. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not guess or generate email addresses.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• Producing an audit report and contacting the business about it — our legitimate interest in offering a relevant service to businesses whose visibility we have measured. We consider this proportionate because we contact businesses at business addresses, about a matter directly affecting their trade, and stop immediately on request.
• Providing the paid service to customers — performance of our contract with you.
• Keeping a suppression list of people who have unsubscribed — our legal obligation not to contact them again.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, or delete it. You can object to our use of it for direct marketing at any time, and we will stop — there is no balancing test for that one, an objection is final.

The fastest route is the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to us at the address above. If you are unhappy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.

How long we keep it

Audit reports and prospect records are deleted after 12 months if the business has not become a customer. Customer records are kept for the duration of the subscription and for six years afterwards, which is how long we are required to retain financial records. Unsubscribe records are kept indefinitely — that is the only way to guarantee we never contact you again.

Who else sees it

We use Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (payments), and the AI providers whose assistants we query — OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and Perplexity. Queries sent to AI providers contain the business name and city only, which is already public information. We do not sell information to anyone.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data in the United States under standard contractual clauses or an equivalent transfer mechanism.
